Here are some helpful questions that I ask potential clients before starting any project, so please review these if you would to help us get on the same page in determining your project’s needs.
- What will be the purpose of your website? Is there more than one?
- Who will be the website audience? Is there more than one?
- What will be the criteria by which the project will be successful?
- Do you need to be able to update your website at anytime, by you or your company?
- What pages or sections do you anticipate the website will need?
- Will the website require any special functionality for visitors (login, manage information)?
- Do you have a logo or existing identity system? Any existing marketing literature that could be repurposed for the site? If not, would you be interested in copywriting services?
- Do your competitors have sites? If so, what are they, and what would you say they are doing right, and what are they doing wrong?
- Is it important that your site be optimized for mobile display and access?
- Do you need to sell anything through the website? If so, how many products?
- Do you have a domain name registered already?
- For a site redesign, what about the current site is not working? What needs to be done to address it?
- Site redesign: Is this more a facelift / realignment, or is this a wholesale redesign from the ground up?
- Site redesign: Where is the website hosted?
